ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System)

ADAS, Advanced Driver Assistance System, uses a single-camera-based solution to detect and recognize vehicles and lanes in front. Utilizing vehicle and lane sensing technologies combined with motion analysis, ADAS predicts potential risks on the road including rear-end collision, lane departure and car slipping, and effectively prevent traffic accidents caused by drivers' drowsiness, distraction and misjudgement. In addition, ADAS is able to upload the warning signals for the purpose of fleat management. ADAS reprents a state of the art innovation in computer vision. It is functional day and night, and in almost any weather conditions. Besides, it fits all vehicles types, including passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

System components
Based on acclaimed vehicle and lane sensing technologies independently developed by ADAS, ADAS is able to provide drivers the better and safer driving experiences. It consists of:
            -- A windshield-mounted main unit with a compact camera and a processing unit
            -- A high-visibility, user-friendly LED display unit for visual directional warnings





Main functions
ADAS is always looking forward and prepared for sudden danger. Both visual warning indicated and audio alert are available on ADAS. There are 2 major advanced driver assistance applications in one system:

1, Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
ADAS system monitors front vehicle in real time, it calculates the time of collision under current speed, to alert the driver of critical situation where a rear-end collision is imminent (within up to 2.7 seconds)
            -- In compliance with JT/T 883 and ISO 15623;
            -- Detection depth is up to 110m;
             -- The FCW is always operational when the system is active;
When the speed is under 30km/h, it also provides an alert before a possible low-speed collision with the vehicle in front, when the headway is equal or less than the distance defined by user.

When the speed is greater than 30km/h, it displays the distance (in seconds) to the vehicle in front if the time becomes dangerously short, and it alerts up the driver when the headway is equal or less than safe distance defined by user.

2, Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
Alerts the driver when the vehicle unintentionally departs from the driving lane. An unintentional departure is defined by departing from the driving lane without using the turn signals:
             -- In compliance with JT/T 883 and ISO 17361;
            -- The LDW is operational at speeds greater than 55km/h;

Proven by the long-term road tests, ADAS is able to work stably for almost any road conditions in China including expressway, urban road, country road, national highway and provincial road. It is also functional day and night, and in almost any weather conditions such as rainy and snowy.


Localization
ADAS focuses on localization from algorithm development, data collection to produce design. Hence, ADAS is more suitable for traffic scenarios and traffic objects that only can be seen in China. Besides, in consideration of local driver's behaviors, ADAS provides visual warnings and audio alerts in a relatively less frequent and less annoying way.


Calibration
ADAS can be manually or automatically calibrated while being installed. It fits all vehicle types including sedan, coach and heavy truck.
